It’s time to put timber in the frame

Introducing a suite of easy to use creative resources from Timber Framing – The Ultimate Renewable™.

As a proud founding partner for the Timber Framing Collective, Hyne Timber is excited to announce the official launch of its ‘Let’s Build a Better World’ campaign, which aims to promote the remarkable green story of Timber Framing - The Ultimate Renewable™.

As part of the launch, the Timber Framing Collective is introducing a suite of free resources which is available to the entire supply chain, from growers through to consumers.

With almost 80% of consumers wanting an eco-friendly building material option, these resources aim to support Australian builders and suppliers in having these conversations with their customers and to proudly promote timber framing as one of the only building materials that’s 100% renewable and sustainable.

The campaign and assets were developed after it was found that despite timber framing being one of the most eco-friendly building materials, many people still believe cutting down trees is a bad thing. When in fact, timber removes and stores greenhouse gases from the air; with approximately half the dry weight of timber being made up of carbon absorbed from the atmosphere as the tree grew. That carbon is then stored in that piece of timber for as long as it exists.

If that’s not enough, timber framing is also carbon positive, which means the production process—from sapling to installation—removes more carbon dioxide than it emits. To put it another way, the average Australian home built with timber framing is equivalent to removing three cars’ worth of carbon from the roads per year.

These assets enable anyone in the supply chain to learn more about timber framing and give their clients access to engaging and educational content to help them make a more informed decision—which is exactly what consumers are asking for.

It is all about making timber framing a conscious choice for builders and homeowners and reinforcing the association between what’s holding up the house and what’s best for our future.

Resources include videos, brochures, fact sheets, social assets and more. These can be shared across social and digital platforms, presented to prospective clients, displayed in offices and display suites, and used to proudly share the message across every touchpoint—whenever and wherever suits each organisation.
Join the Timber Framing Collective and the ever-growing group of people sharing these resources far and wide – let’s put timber in the frame and build a better world for the next generation.
