Hyne Timber's T2 Blue

Southern Vale Homes Supporting Australian Timber Framing

Southern Vale have been using pine framing since the very beginning, however, six years ago made the choice to only supply Hyne Timber framing as their included framing material. We had the opportunity to chat with Southern Vale Homes Product Manager, Blaise Fisher to get her insight on why they’ve chosen Hyne Timber’s T2 Blue pine framing.

Why have you decided to offer timber as your included framing solution?

We use pine timber to build our homes for several reasons, it’s lightweight yet strong, providing structural integrity while allowing for ease of construction. Its versatility allows us to create various design elements and architectural features. Furthermore, pine is a sustainable option, as it is fast-growing and renewable, aligning with our commitment to eco-friendly building practices. Overall, pine timber offers the perfect balance of affordability, strength, versatility, and sustainability for constructing our homes.

Why have you chosen Hyne’s T2 Blue product as your standard inclusion?

It’s important for us to ensure that we are providing our customers with best products that will deter termites from entering the home and we believe T2 is that product and complements our additional termite barriers. It’s important to provide the best solution, especially in the areas that we build, and we love that it comes with a 25-year guarantee.

What does it mean to Southern Vale Homes to support Australian made products?

Supporting Australian-made timber for our homes means a commitment to quality, sustainability, and the local economy. By using locally sourced timber, we ensure high standards and reduce our carbon footprint. This choice supports Australian forestry jobs and promotes responsible land management, ensuring our homes are built with durable, eco-friendly materials that benefit the community and the environment.
