User Access Levels

Hyne Design offers tiered access to ensure that the appropriate features are available to each user type. To access General Structural Design (including builds with pitched roofs beyond 30 degrees, or walls higher than 3m) and design outside of the AS1684 building standards for residential design, users must be able to meet the criteria as highlighted in the table below.

  • Users who understand the AS1684 building code looking to design simple structures without complex loads or deflection.

Advanced
Best for
  • Users who understand AS1684 building code are looking to design simple structures with complex loads. Cannot exceed code limits for deflection.

Criteria
  • HD User Assessment
Estimator / Detailer
Best for
  • Users with an understanding of AS1684, who are employed as a Frame & Truss Estimator or Detailer designing complex structures. Will have access features with warnings outside of the AS1684 building code.

  • HD User Assessment
  • Evidence of employment as an Estimator or Detailer
Engineering
Best for
  • Qualified Engineers looking to design complex structures. Can access all features, including those outside of the AS1684 building code.

Hyne Design Advanced Access

Training & Assessment

Join our technical expert for online training and assessment, which is required for Advanced and Estimator/Detailer access. Please ensure you complete the Hyne Design online registration before completing the training.

How to access existing projects

Projects created in Hyne Design 7.6 and earlier cannot be accessed in Hyne Design online. '.HDJ' files are accessible on the new web-based version and older file formats can be converted using Hyne Design 7.7 for access online.

To open these files, simply:
1. Open the file in the newest Hyne Design 7 application.
2. Click 'File', 'Save Project As'.
3. Once you've registered you will receive basic access straight away.
