Appearance grade A Beam 21 is made of Spotted Gum, which is a naturally bushfire resistant timber up to and including BAL-29 (in accordance with AS3959-2009), making it the ultimate choice in bushfire prone areas. Not only that, Beam 21 will burn in a fire predictable way that ensures it will hold its structural integrity under extreme temperatures longer than a steel beam.

The Australian hardwood species used to produce our Beam 21 are classified as a Durability Class 1 (above ground), which delivers natural resistance to termite and fungal attack. Beam 21 is uniquely Australian – a striking blend of rugged strength and captivating beauty.

All Beam 21 beams are produced from sustainably sourced iconic Queensland hardwood and carry Responsible Wood (PEFC) chain-of-custody certification.

Appearance ‘Grade A’ is made to order and intended for use in applications where appearance is important and clear or painted finishes are used. All surface voids are therefore filled or repaired. Unless otherwise specified, the surfaces are sanded to a minimum 60 grit finish.
